Georgia STAND-UP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and nonpartisan organization led by CEO and founder Deborah Scott. Founded in 2004, Georgia STAND-UP is dedicated to empowering Black women and families in Georgia through advocacy, education, and community organizing. Georgia STAND-UP remains committed to inspiring meaningful civic engagement, advocating for equitable access to public transit, promoting affordable housing, and supporting Medicaid expansion in the state of Georgia.
Georgia STAND-UP empowers Black voters in metro Atlanta and surrounding counties through intensive civic education, voter registration, and leadership training, fostering a politically active community that transcends election cycles.
